Give It Away

That was a quite big challenge. I mean that song is again quite a monument.
I didn't work on it too much because I kind of knew I couldn't get too close to the original anyway.
So I got to the point the 1st solo was king of OK, did a voice take where I wasn't mumbling too much (!!) then moved on.
Still it was fun!

The 1st solo was always going to be a problem because in the original track Frusciante got his sound by playing it backwards and then reversing it to include it on the track. So it's not live playing.
But I wanted to play it live. So I fiddled around with volume effects and my Wah to hide the attack of each note. It kind of does the trick.
I couldn't be asked for doing the 2nd solo so I just improvised it. The final take was the 2nd one... Not very neat but I didn't want to spend too much time on that.
Voice-wise, I think that considering the difficulty of the lyrics, I've done OK!

So it's a bit like Wake Up, it doesn't quite work, it was never going to, but I still had to do it! ;)
